Zayani Motors announces partnership with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation
Zayani Motors have been officially appointed as the exclusive dealers for MG (Morris Garages)-the flagship brand of renowned Chinese automakers Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) in the kingdom of Bahrain.The announcement was made at a press conference that was held at the Zayani Motors showroom on 26th July, 2011 to commemorate their new partnership with SAIC; one of China's top most car manufacturers.
SAIC has gained world-wide recognition for their range of offerings that includes investment, manufacturing and R& D for a number of passenger cars, commercial cars, tractors, trucks, buses, motorcycles, and auto parts. The company controls a number of brands more familiar to Western consumers that includes some from General Motors and VW brands, Rover (now called Roewe) and MG.
Over the years, SAIC has received several global accolades. In 2011, SAIC group was listed in the "Fortune Global 500" with reported annual revenue of $54.257bn for 2010, ranking it 151st on the list. In 2010, SAIC obtained the 8th ranking in the automotive industry in the world in terms of sales volume with their annual sales volume exceeding 3 million units.

The launch of MG in Bahrain was marked by the launch of their new MG550 sedan model that comes in two variants of Comfort and Deluxe.

The classy MG 550 is a sportily styled car with a clean, sophisticated European-look interior and a healthy 161HP from a 1.8-litre light pressure turbo 4-cylinder engine powering the front wheels via a 5-speed 'tiptronic' auto transmission with paddle shifters as standard.

The model strides on concept and styling with muscular surfaces, truly attractive front-and downright stunning interior which gives the saloon an image of timeless elegance and dynamic styling.
"In the upcoming months we look forward to introduce more MG models including MG6, MG3, MG350," said Mr. Nawaf Al Zayani.
"Marking its introduction and as an added attraction, we will also be raffling one MG 550 during our Ramadan promotion due to start early next month," he continued.
