UBE'S quality spirit "keep improving "


In the middle ten days of April, the journalist of DIE-CASTING TIMES magazine of China die Casting Website had visited the famous die-casting machine manufacturer ---the UBE Machinery (Shanghai) Limited company that located in the Pudong new area of Shanghai. The general manager Mr. Takeshi Kawamoto had accepted the reporter’s interview.


Dressed in a starched business suit, Mr. Takeshi Kawamoto had a cordial talk with our journalist in fluent Chinese with a smile.


Looking back to the cheerless market of 2009 and the recovery status that emerged in the fourth quarter of this year, Mr. Takeshi Kawamoto expressed his own opinion on it and made a brief analysis of UBE’s market positioning and market situation.


Mr. Takeshi Kawamoto said that the market demand of die-casting machine of China in 2007 and 2008 were very vigorous, UBE had got a good sales of the small and medium size machine. In 2009 and 2010, UBE had paid much more attention on business cooperation with high-end new customers, and the sales trend of high-end product’s appeared to be well. Though years of hard work, UBE had won a fully approval by the China die casting industry of his product quality.

UBE will continue to expand and enlarge his machine types in 2010, which including big, middle and small size machine. As the first die-casting enterprise that bringing the world top grade casting machine into China market, UBE is planning to classify the machine as high level, middle and low level while making the brand machine. Mr. Takeshi Kawamoto indicated that UBE will still take the volume of sales as the target in the next five years, and hope the annual growth rate can reach 20%.


Mr. Takeshi Kawamoto also said that as the first world famous band die-casting enterprise that entered into the China market, the prime stage of the company’s development was very hard. The progress of small-size machine’s popularity expanding was very slow.
However, UBE always insist in opening the China small-size machine market by Japanese’s high quality, but not depend on the price strategy. Finally, UBE was accepted by the Chinese clients.


After the interview, the marketing director of UBE, Mr. Dong Lei led a tour of the factory. The diecasting products exhibition center was very clean and fresh, there were many flowers around the center which gave out a slight fragrance. All of this showed the delicacy of UBE‘s service.


UBE’ s pursue of his product’s quality just like Mr. Takeshi Kawamoto’s attitude to Chinese studying which is “keep improving”.  Strict management and perfect production security made the manufacturing area a feeling of orderliness, harmonious and neatness. The spirit of “keep improving” of UBE not only reflected on the products, product specification but also on the work staff behaviors. It made our journalist a very deep impression.
