Make ALM as the Top Brand of Aluminum Alloy Furnace Enterprise in China

----- An exclusive interview report of President Liu Rongzhang of ALM Industrial Furnace Manufacture Shanghai Company Limited.

ALM Industrial Furnace Manufacture Shanghai Company is a new founded private stock company with larger scale in domestic furnace industry. The Main production of the company are aluminum alloying furnace, aluminum alloy holding furnace, T1~T9 heat treatment furnace and others industrial furnace, heat up equipment and fired furnace. They have several engineers with decades experience in furnace, combustion and control of engine. There are two imported numerical control plasma cutting equipments and many kinds machining equipments.
The marketing of the company’s products across the home and abroad and kept a good operation relationship with industrial furnace company of Japan, Korea and etc.
In the middle ten days of May, Mr. President Liu Rongzhang of ALM accepted our journalist’s interview.

1, We knew that your company’s marketing scope covering the whole country and kept a good relationship with Japan and Korea. So, could you please share your experience on the company management, technology utilization and personnel training? What’s the difference between China, Japan and Korea on this point? Is there any referential experience that our domestic enterprises can learn from them?

Mr. President Liu: Our Company was founded in 2004; the development period was not very long so I dare not say that I have how many excellent management experiences on it. Strictly speaking, our company is a new company with a large number of high-end technicians and skilled workers. For I have twenty years work experiences on combustion, automation and furnace and ten years management experience of foreign enterprise ,it is very easy for me to find each other’s advantage and disadvantage during the cooperation with Japan and Korea’s furnace industry.

I found that there are no big difference between the furnace enterprises of Japan , Korea and China on the point of general production technology and management strategy .

In some respects we even took the place in the front of them such as large accumulating type reverberate furnace. I remembered that in 1996 when I was working in the Japanese company, we once had introduced the control device of melting furnace from Japan, after we got the device we disappointed to found that it was still controlled by the electric relay and timer which was much more fall behind of our country, for at that time our domestic furnace industry was widespread in use of the advanced PLC controller. So I changed it to PLC controller by myself.

However, Japan and Korea is obviously in the lead of us in the furnace research and development. There are many referential experiences that we could learn from them such as furnace basic design, combustion discharge, and energy conservation. It is mainly attributed to their country’s strict legal control on furnace energy conservation and discharge; I think our country should have to perfect the law on the respect of component content and unit GDP consumption of energy.

Comparing with our home enterprises, the management of Japan and Korea are much more rigorous than us, especially on the production schedule which we couldn’t possibly match. There are some objective external causes for this; such as they calculate the punctuality of train, plane and subway by second while in our country it is very common for our transport agency delay for several hours. This is just like a set of precision machine, if the wheel gear of the machine goes wrong, then it can not run well.

2, We heard that your company had set up brand office in Shanghai, Chongqing and Guangzhou, so is there any different development policies between the three places?

Mr. President Liu: From the beginning of establishment, ALM has devoted itself to China Aluminum furnace research and development. The company‘s name of Ai Lu Mi was come from its Chinese pronunciation.

As the most important economic center of China and even of the world, Shanghai’ position goes without saying than other places. So we set up the head office in Shanghai, and major backbones and basic staffs of the head office are the Shanghai native, which is much convenient for us to manage and develop Chongqing and Guangdong are respectively the largest industry city of China west south and south. The casting and foundry enterprises in the two cities almost covered half of the whole country, furthermore ,we also can make a positive influence on the neighbor cities like Sichuan,Hubei,Shangxi,Guizhou.Guangxi ,Fujian and so on

The key point is that our equipments have a very special working environment; they can run with 24 hours for 365 days. We do not allow the machine stoppage appear, even it appeared we solve it as soon as quickly. The reason that we set up our branch office in the nearby city is because we can settle our customer’s trouble at the first time. Shanghai head office sometimes sent its staff members to Chongqing and Guangdong branch offices to share its kinds of research achievements and provide the same equipments and services for the aluminum enterprises of nearby cities

3, We know that the casting industry was heavily stricken by economic crisis, and the market status of last year was cheerless, so what’s the impact on your company? What kind of measurement that your company made?

Mr. President Liu: ALM adheres to the operation principle of maintaining independent and struggling ahead all the time. Under the serious economic condition, we paid much more attention on staff management, cost reducing and benefit promotion, with the whole staff’s hard work and efforts,    we made a progress on our products benefits instead of being impacted by the economic crisis in 2009.

4, does your company have any new products in 2010? Compare with the past 2009, does your company have any adjustment on production development and marketing?

Mr. President Liu: Our products were first put into production in 2005, which is just of 5 years from 2005 to 2009. We had already signed a Technical cooperation agreement with the Tokai Japan in 2009. From the year of 2009 to 2014 ,as company’s second five years plan, we plan to completely replace the old products by new ones in five years so that we can realize synchronized development with Tokai Japan's products, beyond that we also increase the massive production of magnesium alloy furnace

We are gradually changing the principle of completely independent research and development since 2010. We will approximately introduce the foreign advanced technology, with utilizing our company’s current technical reserve, to have secondary development until it become our own private products. We have already started this program and obtained the government's financial subsidies and supports.

5, As a larger private stock furnace enterprise of homeland, what’s your opinion on keeping private stock enterprises a fast and strong development in the intense domestic competition market?

Mr. President Liu: ALM had developed itself from only more than ten staff members in 2005 to current large scale, for it had gone through many hard times that most enterprises have not experienced. Under the intense domestic competition market, the key reason that we can outstand in the furnace industry is that we insist in excellent quality and perfect service.

We are the first furnace enterprise of domestic in use of high-end importing nano materials, infrared thermal imaging equipment, industrial furnace lining of thermal analysis software, and the industrial furnace flue gas composition analyzer.

Recently we have already reserved the product’s technology that we are going to expand to the market in the next few years. In order to coordinating with the government advocated Energy conservation and emission reduction policy, we will display our most unique patented products in the Shanghai exhibition. So, I believe that only if the private stock enterprise can take the development direction under control, they can achieve great success in future.
