The melting point of aluminum alloy and copper alloy is different, the melting point of aluminum is usually around 600℃, while that of brass is around 900℃. Since the structure of aluminum die casting machine is designed according to the physical and chemical properties of aluminum, their working temperature and lubrication conditions usually can only meet the needs of aluminum die casting, but not copper casting.

Under normal circumstances, using an aluminum die casting machine for copper casting will cause the following problems:

1. Insufficient running temperature. The temperature of an aluminum die casting machine can usually only reach a lower temperature, which may not be enough to melt copper alloy, resulting in poor quality of the castings.

2. The machine parts cannot withstand the thermal expansion of copper alloy. Due to the high coefficient of thermal expansion of copper alloy, if copper alloy is poured into an aluminum die casting machine, it is easy to make the machine parts unable to bear some displacement and thermal stress.

Therefore, if copper alloy casting is needed, equipment more suitable for copper alloy casting needs to be used.
